Fire Station 82

LCA coordinated with City of Brentwood staff, the East Contra Costa Fire District and the Police Department to design and build the first new fire station in Brentwood in 25 years. The facility houses Police Services as well as fire fighting functions. The site was also designed to provide parking adjacent to the Police Department in the front yard area.

The two bay apparatus room truck bay has a 77 foot extension to accommodate new longer fire trucks. LCA used concrete paving in the rear parking lot and training area to accommodate the weight of these new trucks, as requested by the Fire Chief.

Residential in nature, the exterior design blends with the new residential developments along busy Balfour Road. The station has a diesel generator that is positioned above a reserve fuel tank. An enclosure with a wood trellis system acts to screen the generator from view.
