Oakland High School Modernization

Modernization of this existing campus will provide a new entry identity and clear organization by removing old portables, replacing classrooms, updating the historic shop building and the main building and providing site improvements.  This $22 Million dollar modernization project includes:

 

Main Building:

New campus entry facingMacArthur Boulevard.  Modernize interior finishes and finish repair, and replace the following electrical systems:

  • Fire Alarm
  • Clock & Bell
  • Public Announcement
  • Security/Access Control
  • Telephone
  • Data

Historic Shop Building Modernization:

  • Provide new layout on both floors for increased number of classrooms.  Provide accessible elevator, stairs, internal corridors, student and staff toilets.

Site Improvements:

  • Provide landscaping, fencing, paving, site lighting and security
  • Provide signage to assist way-finding throughout the campus
  • Provide visitor parking lot and bus drop-off area onMacArthur Blvd.
  • Improve appearance of campus along theHome Placecul-de-sac
  • Resurface and strip all asphalt paving
