Three buildings housing commercial, retail, and condominium uses, including on-grade shared parking, are proposed for this city block in downtown Oakland. The project proposes that the plant currently on the property be demolished and materials from the building be recycled and used in construction of the new complex. Design of the buildings will incorporate sustainable architecture and “green” building materials. At the client’s request, a large climbing wall is planned for the entrance to one of the buildings with office space over retail.
