Surrounded by million dollar homes, Fire Station No. 30 was designed as a flagship station to serve the new neighborhoods in the Dougherty Valley.
To blend with the upscale area, the station’s custom design conforms to the requirements of the surrounding development by using stone and stucco exterior building materials with concrete tile roofing. This 10,454 square foot, state-of-the-art, 4-bay station has eight sleeping rooms, four bathrooms and one public toilet.
Fire Station No. 30 is the first of the district’s facilities to have completely gender-neutral sleeping accommodations, an outdoor hazardous waste wash-off area and a high-tech waste diversion filtering and drainage system.
