Fremont Adult School
Fremont Unified School District originally had adult school programs at two elementary school sites, Mowry and Noll. The decision to sell the Noll School site necessitated relocation of the existing programs at that campus. Master planning and site consolidation of the Mowry Adult School followed to incorporate Noll’s programs on Mowry’s campus.
Noll’s Special Education program was relocated into two upgraded modular classroom buildings that included a combination of moveable and fixed walls allowing for built-in classroom flexibility. One building can be configured as two food classrooms or four regular classrooms, depending upon program enrollment numbers. The other building can be broken up into four classrooms or one large, 2,880 sf, assembly space. Also included in the building are conference room and office spaces. Spaces between the buildings have been designed to serve as outdoor classrooms.
The senior programs were relocated into four classrooms located in two buildings. The new modular classrooms are clustered around existing buildings to create an outdoor courtyard area. A new secondary access will allow for a safer on-site traffic flow.
