Northgate High School Little Theater

In use since the early 1970’s, the Northgate High School Little Theater underwent a renovation which enlarged the stage, increased seating capabilities to accommodate 270 people, and replaced the existing sloping floor with a new water-proofed concrete slab.  The control room was elevated about nine feet above the stage and has a large opening from which to view the stage below.  A wall was added between the band room and theater to acoustically isolate the rooms.  Opportunities for multiple theatrical lighting positions and a new mechanical system were included, as well as an updated lobby featuring a new ticket booth.  The incorporation of campus colors enlivened the space, enhanced the school spirit and helped attract people to performances.

LCA created a 3D animated video depicting the completed project to assist the school district and the Northgate Pride Foundation in their fund-raising efforts.  We also participated in a presentation to the Dean Lesher Foundation for the Arts in an effort to secure a funding grant.
