The City of Rohnert Park has recently collaborated with LCA Architects to assess the present and future needs of the public safety and public works departments, and develop a modern and efficient workspace for these departments using two City-owned pieces of land. LCA evaluated for optimal layout and efficiency to meet the City’s goal of maximizing the combined use of resources between the public works and public safety operations and to provide workspace that serves both departments’ future needs. The assessment and programming done on this project aided in the design of a new Westside Fire Station, a new Public Works Corp Yard and Fleet Services Building, offices for Public Works and Utilities staff, and emergency features at the City’s main sewer pump station.
